5 of the Most Difficult Aspects of Wedding Planning

There is no doubt that wedding planning can be tricky. It can be tempting to dive straight in to the planning as soon as that ring is safely secured on your finger. The first days can be magical, then before you know it your heads stuck in your notebook and your faced with the impossible dilemma of deciding between chicken or beef.  Yes, it’s no secret that planning is full of hard decisions but what did you rate as the most difficult aspect of wedding planning in 2018.

 Finding Valuable Advice

Finding reputable, valuable advice can be difficult in the midst of wedding planning. 7% of couples reported finding valuable advice as a major issue in wedding planning. To avoid this, make sure you work with reputable service providers and don’t be afraid to ask for their advice, often they have connections which could be beneficial to you.

Communicating with Partner and Family

Weddings days are something that a lot of people have opinions on; what your dress should be like, what food you should eat etc. 9% of couples report that communicating with their partner and family is a major hurdle in wedding planning. Just remember that this is your special day. Take your partner with you to meet suppliers, ask questions and take your time in making decisions.

Knowing What to Do Next

So, you’ve booked the venue, you’ve booked your cars…. now what? 13% of couples report that knowing the next steps to take in wedding planning can be a challenge for them. To avoid this, try to work with reputable suppliers, a good organisation should take responsibility for their services and should be able to guide you in the next steps. At Phantom, all you have to do is pick up the phone, we will do the rest.

Managing Budget

Staying in budget can be difficult at the best of times but planning a wedding can really challenge your budgeting skills according to 17% of couples. Aim to get a rough idea of prices before you start planning and make rough notes about how much you wish to spend on each. Also, try to work with reputable, well established suppliers and don’t forget to indulge in a little luxury sometimes, it is your big day after all.

Managing guest lists

It can be hard to manage a tight guest list, especially since the average wedding guest list is as little as just 79 guests. Can you really justify inviting your mums’ aunties best friend? 24% of couples couldn’t decide, reporting that managing the guest list as the most difficult aspect of wedding planning.

DECATHLON, Hermiston Gait

Phantom enjoys another Red Carpet (well green tartan actually) event at the VIP opening of the new Decathlon store in the retail park.

Very successful event with many well known sports personalities including Ally Kellock and Joss Rae. Ably assisted by Gavin Hastings. John Beattie and not forgetting Miss Scotland, Jennifer Reoch.
Fine mic action from Euan Cameron from Real Radio kept things going along.

The event also supported the inspiring Bryn Williams organisation, www.wobblywilliams.com who provide a fresh approach to combating Parkinsons Disease.

Congratulations to Store manager Emma Sokol and her team who presided over a fine event, with thanks to Katrina Tasker.
