DECATHLON, Hermiston Gait

Phantom enjoys another Red Carpet (well green tartan actually) event at the VIP opening of the new Decathlon store in the retail park.

Very successful event with many well known sports personalities including Ally Kellock and Joss Rae. Ably assisted by Gavin Hastings. John Beattie and not forgetting Miss Scotland, Jennifer Reoch.
Fine mic action from Euan Cameron from Real Radio kept things going along.

The event also supported the inspiring Bryn Williams organisation, www.wobblywilliams.com who provide a fresh approach to combating Parkinsons Disease.

Congratulations to Store manager Emma Sokol and her team who presided over a fine event, with thanks to Katrina Tasker.

Rolls-Royce starts £10m expansion of factory

Rolls Royce today confirmed plans to expand its spiritual home at Goodwood, on the back of record sales figures.

Announced today at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Rolls Royce plans on spending £10 million on improvements.

The assembly hall will be extended by more than 2,500 square metres, new sections will be added to the Surface Finish Centre, extending its size by more than 640 sqm.

Rolls Royce says that new areas will allow significant expansion of both manufacture of the Phantom and Ghost models and the Bespoke Department, which creates completely personalised and unique Rolls Royce cars for the customers that wish to have something even more unique.

Record sales both home and abroad have encouraged Rolls Royce to carry out the expansion, particularly in such markets as China, and new dealerships launched in North America, the Asia Pacific region and Europe, with more to come.

Rolls Royce CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös says that the brand continues to see increased demand from customers all over the world; “The new facilities will allow us to increase the capacity for our hand-built, highly personalised motor cars.

“This investment demonstrates our confidence in this unique brand, our commitment to our Home at Goodwood – the only place in the world where Rolls Royce motor cars are built – and signals the next phase in the development of our company.”
